Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! It always feels like February is waaaay shorter than January. I don’t know what it is, but I do know that Valentine’s Day is coming right up and no matter whether you’re in a new relationship, married for 25 years, or spending this year with platonic friends, this is the perfect time to celebrate all the special relationships in your life! Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember with some of these ideas!
Dinner on Valentine’s Day is crazy busy – save yourself some time and effort and go to breakfast instead! Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it’s totally an underrated meal for dining out. Pancakes, waffles, french toast…it’s totally a carb fest and I live for it! Brunch is always fun with girlfriends if you’re celebrating Galentine’s day this year!
Not feeling the restaurant game this year? Dine al fresco! These past couple of days have been wonderfully warm. Take advantage of this uncharacteristically warm weather and get your Valentine’s Day picnic in early and pretend like spring has come early! Not warm enough for you yet? Picnic in front of the fire for an extra dose of romance.
Once you have kids, it can be hard to put together an entire date night. The coordination with the babysitter, the pressure to get dressed up – most days I’d rather stay home! A movie matinee might be the perfect solution if you have school-age kiddos who can take advantage of after-school programs.
There’s no pressure to look fancy and it kind of feels like playing hooky. Instead of being an adult, you’re at the movies. Fun!
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about your partner – it’s about all the love in your life! Get the kids involved and do some heart themed crafts. Or baking! Heart shaped sugar cookies look AND taste fantastic! The secret ingredient? Love!
Or break out the paint and make some original art personalized for you and your family to hang on the fridge until next Valentine’s Day. This adorable Valentine’s Bingo is a craft and an activity all at once. Perfect for an entire afternoon of celebration!
This is the perfect activity to do together. You can write notes to open throughout the year, either on specific days or after specific events. I think it would be extra sweet to put them in a mason jar and leave them out where you can see them throughout the year – a little extra reminder of your love for each other.
This activity is totally adaptable for little ones too! Everyone can have their own adorable themed container. We can always put more love into the world!
Did one of these ideas spark a plan for you? I’d love to hear about in the comments down below! How are you making this day special to celebrate all the different loves in your life?
"Anne is an incredibly talented photographer, and her passion for capturing beautiful memories really shines through during her boudoir sessions. She really takes that time to make sure you're comfortable, and I honestly felt so glamorous and confident. This photo shoot was such an empowering thing to do! (and honestly...it was really fun to get all dolled up and pretend to be a supermodel for the day!) I highly recommend Anne and Bmore Boudoir."

"Working with Anne and Ash was absolutely amazing! They are very knowledgeable and gave wonderful advice. Even though Anne was a lot of fun and very laid back, she ensured she exuded professionalism always. I was so nervous to do a boudoir shoot and was lacking some serious confidence. They had a special way that made me feel not only comfortable, but confident and sexy! The pictures were beautiful and very tasteful. I cannot wait to work with Anne again!"
"Working with you was incredible!! You were so laid back, made me feel comfortable and beautiful in my skin. I didn't feel like I needed to cover up or hide at all. Your direction and energy was exactly what I needed to have a successful shoot. I chose YOU to do the session because I felt like you would put me at ease and we'd just have FUN during the shoot, and I was right ;) Having finished and leaving that day I felt empowered and absolutely gorgeous, like I could take on anything life threw at me haha! I was super excited to get the photos back and share them with my hunny, and he LOVED them! No complaints there <3"
