Here at Bmore Boudoir I am all about empowering women. Some days it’s easy to feel on top of the world! Some days it isn’t and that’s okay. I thought I’d take some time today to talk about different activities to promote self-acceptance on days when love just isn’t coming naturally.
It’s so easy to get caught up in all the negatives. Flip the script – what’s something that you love about your body? About your personality? Maybe you always get complimented on your eyes or your sense of humor. Maybe you’re proud of how far you’ve come in your career. Whatever it is, I bet it’s something that’s super unique and fabulous about you!
With the weather changing for the better (mostly) I’ve been spending more and more time outside. Even if it’s just for a few minutes before dinner, it’s nice to step outside and breathe. Summer is coming my friends, no matter what Game of Thrones says. Let’s appreciate it!
I don’t know about you but I always have my phone on me! This is a great one to do no matter where you are, or what you look like. You’re beautiful, and even if that photo. Take a selfie, and then try and think only positive things about it. Instead of thinking ‘I look tired,’ think ‘I take great care of my kids and wake up early to play with them.’ It’s crazy how much changing your outlook can change your life!
Chocolate anybody? Life is all about the little things and indulging is a personal thing. I’m partial to a slice of pizza, but your idea of a small indulgence might be your favorite TV show or a glass of wine after dinner. Looking for recommendations? I think a boudoir shoot is a good idea!
Lay out your clothes for the gym, prep the kid’s lunches – anything that tomorrow morning you will be grateful that she doesn’t have to do. A great tip I’ve heard of is to imagine your future self as a child under your care. We’re all just taking care of our future selves after all. Make her life easier!
Feeling sad? The best way to feel better is to do something that you know that you’re good at, whether that be boxing or baking. Activities that you’re good at are perfect self acceptance activities. I know when I’m feeling blue, getting into the groove with my photography always perks me back up again. That’s my happy place!
Because you’re worth it! If these suggestions seem too overwhelming at the moment, remember them tomorrow. Or the day after. I promise that you are a bada** babe who deserves everything good in life!
Let me know in the comments below! I’d love to hear your great ideas!
"Anne is an incredibly talented photographer, and her passion for capturing beautiful memories really shines through during her boudoir sessions. She really takes that time to make sure you're comfortable, and I honestly felt so glamorous and confident. This photo shoot was such an empowering thing to do! (and honestly...it was really fun to get all dolled up and pretend to be a supermodel for the day!) I highly recommend Anne and Bmore Boudoir."

"Working with Anne and Ash was absolutely amazing! They are very knowledgeable and gave wonderful advice. Even though Anne was a lot of fun and very laid back, she ensured she exuded professionalism always. I was so nervous to do a boudoir shoot and was lacking some serious confidence. They had a special way that made me feel not only comfortable, but confident and sexy! The pictures were beautiful and very tasteful. I cannot wait to work with Anne again!"
"Working with you was incredible!! You were so laid back, made me feel comfortable and beautiful in my skin. I didn't feel like I needed to cover up or hide at all. Your direction and energy was exactly what I needed to have a successful shoot. I chose YOU to do the session because I felt like you would put me at ease and we'd just have FUN during the shoot, and I was right ;) Having finished and leaving that day I felt empowered and absolutely gorgeous, like I could take on anything life threw at me haha! I was super excited to get the photos back and share them with my hunny, and he LOVED them! No complaints there <3"
